One of the recurring ideas behind Broken Crown is that the outbreak was managed, watched, and contained from above.

// CORE SYSTEMS //

FULL-MAP PVP

PvP is enabled everywhere, but every fight has political consequences. Killing the wrong person can wreck your standing fast.

FAVOR AND HONOR

Favor rises and falls quickly. Honor lags behind on the way up, but drops immediately on the way down, which makes bad decisions hard to erase.

POLITICAL ROLES

Citizens, Sworn, Enforcers, Arbiters, Outlaws, and Barbarians all play by different rules. Any citizen can declare for Arbiter, but the role only activates at the start of the next cycle.

RESET ZONES

Reset zones are part of the server, not a background admin tool. The Crown panel and the HUD both tell you what kind of ground you are standing on.

CELL-BASED CLAIMS

Claiming a house protects the entire cell unless that area has been marked for a hard reset. That makes placement matter much more than standard safehouse rules.

JOURNAL, MODS, ITEMS

Journal recovery is live through another mod. The wider mod stack also includes Prisonner plugin and Authentic Z, plus custom Cure and Mutagen items tied to the Crown systems.

// HOW THIS SERVER WORKS //

Broken Crown is built to make survival feel political. Who you kill, where you live, and how visible you are all feed into the same system.

LAW AND CONSEQUENCE

Citizens cannot kill other Citizens or Sworn without losing 50 honor. Arbiters can kill anyone for a 15 favor cost, and killing Barbarians costs them nothing.

Anyone can currently kill Arbiters for free. Ruling gives power, but it also paints a target on your back.

TRACKING AND HIDING

Outlaws and Barbarians are visible on the map and their coordinates show up in the Crown panel. That turns bad reputation into an active hunting signal.

They can still disappear inside no-track zones, mostly around the outer edges of the map away from the river.

CROWN PANEL

The usual PvP sign is replaced by the Crown. Open it to check Crown systems, utilities, and reset-zone information.

The same territory logic is echoed in the HUD for your current cell, so you can read the risk before you settle in or pass through.

SUPPORT AND DEVELOPMENT

Support helps cover server hosting, infrastructure, and ongoing development for Broken Crown. Contributions are voluntary and do not provide in-game items, currency, perks, or gameplay benefits.

If you want to support the project, you can do so here: ko-fi.com/brokencrown

Gameplay systems, events, and items are part of normal server design and are not tied to contributions.

WORLD TONE

Broken Crown leans into the idea that the outbreak was not pure chaos, but something monitored and contained from above. That thread stays in the background, but it gives the server its mood.
